Who operates VehCalc
VehCalc is operated by VehCalc Editorial Team, an independent publisher of vehicle finance calculators and educational guides. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any automaker, dealer, lender, insurer, or testing organization — and we do not sell vehicles or loans. TheVehCalc Editorial Team is the party responsible for every page, figure, and calculator published on this site.
We operate from Sichuan, China. The fastest way to reach the person responsible for this site is email: team@vehcalc.com. We aim to respond to all inquiries within 48 hours.
Why this site exists
VehCalc was created with a simple goal: make vehicle finance calculations accessible to everyone. Understanding the financial implications of auto loans, leases, and vehicle ownership should not require a finance degree or a paid subscription. Every day, millions of Americans navigate car purchases, lease decisions, and refinancing options — yet many enter those conversations without a clear picture of the total costs involved. VehCalc fills that gap with free, instant calculators.
How VehCalc is funded
VehCalc is free to use and is supported by advertising and, where disclosed, affiliate links to third-party services. Advertising and affiliate relationships have no influence over what we publish or how our calculators are built — our editorial independence policy below explains exactly how that separation is maintained. We do not sell user data, and we do not accept payment for favorable coverage of any product.

Our approach
Data is compiled from primary and authoritative sources — EPA fuel-economy data, IRS depreciation tables, state DMV registration and tax schedules, and NHTSA recall data — with retrieval dates on every page. Every figure is verified against a source before it is published; anything unverified is marked as pending or omitted entirely. The open dataset is refreshed annually with a versioned changelog.
Our Editorial Policy
Our editorial independence is paramount. All calculators, articles, and guides on VehCalc are created based on editorial merit and educational value — never influenced by advertisers or affiliate partners. Here's how we maintain editorial integrity:
- Calculator formulas are non-negotiable: Every calculator uses standard financial formulas verified against industry references. We do not adjust calculations to favor any lender or product.
- Affiliate links are clearly marked: Any content that includes affiliate relationships is disclosed in accordance with FTC guidelines. Our FTC Affiliate Disclosure explains these relationships in detail.
- Reviews are impartial: We do not accept paid placements or sponsored reviews. All assessments are based on publicly available data and editorial judgment.
- Errors get corrected: If a figure, formula or source looks wrong, email team@vehcalc.com with the page URL. We check every report against the primary source and correct the page where we got it wrong, and we aim to reply within 48 hours.
Our E-E-A-T Commitment
Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness (E-E-A-T) are foundational to everything we publish. As a site in the financial space, we take extra care to ensure our content meets the highest standards:
- Experience: Our content is written for real people facing real vehicle finance decisions — not abstract academic exercises.
- Expertise: Calculators use established financial formulas (amortization, present value, future value) and are reviewed for accuracy before publishing.
- Authoritativeness: We reference authoritative sources where appropriate, including consumer protection agencies, industry associations, and government resources.
- Trustworthiness: We clearly state that all results are estimates for educational purposes only and do not constitute professional advice. Our Disclaimer provides full transparency.
How Our Calculators Work
Our calculators run entirely in your browser using JavaScript. When you enter values like a loan amount, interest rate, or lease term, the calculator performs mathematical calculations in real time and displays results instantly — no “Calculate” button needed.
This approach offers several important benefits:
- Privacy: Your financial data never leaves your device. We do not transmit or store your inputs on our servers.
- Speed: Calculations happen instantly as you type, giving you immediate feedback as you adjust your assumptions.
- No sign-up: Use every tool without creating an account, providing an email, or sharing any personal information.
What We Don't Do
To be fully transparent, here's what VehCalc is not:
- Not a lender, broker, or financial intermediary
- Not a licensed financial advisor or investment firm
- Not a tax preparation service or legal counsel
- Not a dealership or auto sales platform
- Not a source of real-time market data or live rate feeds
We provide educational estimates and informational content. Where a product or service helps, we point to reputable third-party providers, but we hold no special endorsement from them and our recommendations are never paid for. Rates, taxes, and incentives change — always verify with the official source or a qualified professional before buying, leasing, or financing.
